Text message terms
LoxLeague runs the websites youth sports leagues use to organise their seasons. If your league uses LoxLeague and you have asked for text alerts, these terms cover those messages.
What the messages are
Texts are about your own family's participation in your league. In practice that means schedule changes and cancellations, reminders before a game or practice, volunteer slots you have signed up for or that your team still needs filled, and announcements from your league.
You can also text us back. Replies go to the league's assistant, which answers questions about your player's schedule, your team and your league's rules. It only ever answers with information from your own league account.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not text you about other leagues or other products.
How you opt in
Only by asking for it, while signed in to your league's website:
- Sign in and open Text Alerts on your account page.
- Enter your mobile number and tick the consent box, which reads: "I agree to receive text messages about league activities at this number. Message and data rates may apply; frequency varies. Turn off any time here or by replying STOP."
- We text you a six-digit code. Enter it to confirm the number is yours. Until you do, the number is not used.
Consent to texts is not a condition of registering a player, paying a fee, or using any part of your league's website.
How often
Message frequency varies with your league's season and your own team's schedule. A typical week in season is a handful of messages; out of season there may be none for weeks. Messages you send us are answered as you send them.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. LoxLeague and your league do not charge you for texts; your mobile carrier's normal rates for messages and data apply as usual.
Stopping, and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. We also accept STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT. You will get one confirmation and then nothing further.
Reply START to turn them back on, or turn them on again under Text Alerts on your account page.
Reply HELP for your league's name and contact address. You can also reach us at support@loxleague.com.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and it depends on your carrier and your coverage — so please do not rely on a text as the only way you would find out about a change. Everything we text is also on your league's website.
Your number
Your mobile number is used to send you these messages and for nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers, and we do not share them with anyone for marketing purposes. They are visible to your league's own administrators and to your child's coach, the same as the rest of your contact details, and to the messaging provider that carries the message.
We keep a record of messages sent and received so a league can see that a notice went out and so we can honour an opt-out. To have your number removed entirely, remove it under Text Alerts on your account page or email support@loxleague.com.
